STOP Exercising because..

Either you are YAY or NAY to this blogs title. Either way its not what you think. To finish my sentence..

Stop exercising because of a body shape you think you should have!

Especially if its because of past traumas or the need to please others!

I used to suck at committing to things, especially working out! I’d go hard for a while then I knock myself off course, knowing damn well I’ll have to start all over if I keep quitting but, I’m so desperate for a banging body right?!

(RANT) WHY THE FUCK IS THAT?! It takes timeeee to create the body you want but it takes a minute to go away when you start slacking? LOL I did 3 months last year and stopped for a month because of a depressed episode and it was hell starting over. UGH Anyway!

Currently I am doing great, so this time to commit to exercise I became more aware of my emotions towards exercise and my reasons behind doing it. If you want to stop hating and dreading any type of work outs. Heres how:

Accept its the cure to ANYTHING.. LOL I laugh at this because this truly changed my mindset. Any time I googled a treatment for almost anything or asked advice, it rarely fails to include exercise. Pretty much after a while I just surrendered to it and thats when the motivation came in.

Simply do it for your overall health and stress relief. I can’t stress this enough, get in the habit of this mindset because thats what matters. I started telling myself other stuff too. For example: I love affirmations so I started telling myself almost everyday that, ” I intend to keep up the enthusiasm and action towards my mental and physical health.” I feel more committed than ever, truly! I have been at the gym, I have pushed through the pain, I have chosen to workout when I wanted to be lazy, I’m eating healthier. Im proud of my damn self! Before you roll your eyes because it just seems to simple. I challenge you for 30 days, fuck it, a week, even just right now. Take a deep breathe in and breathe out and repeat that intention once or as many times as you want. I guarantee you will experience the shift because I don’t speak on shit haven’t experienced or what has worked for me. Honestly you even start seeing the results you want faster! Throw in telling yourself that its easy for bonus effect ;P

Make it as fun as you can for yourself & reward yourself after. I make sure to listen to songs that boost my energy while stretching and exercising. Maybe you rather a podcast or TV. Sometimes I do home workouts. Youtube has so many yoga, fitness, and dancing videos! Simply take a walk. Go with someone to the gym or dance class. Treat yourself to something because you deserve it. If you want to spend 3 hours on Netflix, tell yourself that’ll be your reward after going to the gym. I reward myself with a nice joint after. LOL Be creative! Theres no excuse to not fit in some kind of form of being active.

It starts to become natural in your day to day life when you work with it through this perception. It naturally becomes a commitment without you realizing. Working out is suppose to help you stop being stressed so why stress about it? LMAO

Your body will thank you, Treat it well ❤

  1. That is so real!!! I’m always stressing about exercising or not exercising, I make it harder on myself. I agree once we start enjoying it and forget the results we think we want then and only then can we relax, have fun and ultimately see the beauty in ourselves not only on the outside but also on the inside!! 😊. Thank you for your insight.
